This position in the Allocation and Replenishment department is responsible for all of the inventory management functions within a CMT (Category Management Team). The supply chain functions include, but are not limited to, forecasting and re-buying assortment and catalog merchandise, timely allocation and replenishment to the stores to maximize customer satisfaction and company profits, and achieving in stock goals on basic, program and catalog skus. Also, as part of the CMT, the Replenishment Specialist is responsible for achieving or surpassing planned category performance and productivity standards such as sales, inventory, turn and GMROI while staying within acceptable OTB (Open-to-Buy) constraints. This is accomplished by managing and replenishing productive assortments, eliminating unproductive product through recommended tiering, price reductions and RTVs, successfully test product, launching new initiatives and maintaining positive vendor relationships. Business analysis and convincing presentation of material is required. At least a four-year college degree in a business or related field or strong retail analytic experience; Requires substantial PC experience, preferably using Windows, Word, Excel (V-look-up, pivot table, formula generation and utilization) and Business Objects (or some information query tool); Strong attention to detail, Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills; Must be able to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
