Job Responsibilities

 The IC Design team issearching for a hands-on, team oriented, Design Engineer with strong digital design expertise. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the architecture, specification, and design of digital blocks and sub-systems that implement innovative capacitive and other touch sensing technologies. You should have extensive knowledge of RTL coding using Verilog/SystemVerilog and good programming experience using C/C++ and scripting languages such as Perl,TCL, etc.  You should also have extensive knowledge of synthesis, LEC, STA, and practice good design methodology.

Responsibilities include:

• Detailed architecture, specification and logic design and simulation of RTL code (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for digital sub-systems of system-on-a-chip (SOC) ICs.
• Extensive knowledge of good RTL design practice and methodology
• Work closely with Verification and PnR Team when debugging blocks and systems.
• Use programming languages (C/C++, Perl, TCL etc.) to improve the efficiency of the design tasks.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot silicon during post-fab bringup and characterization.
• Schedule tasks and goals to complete designs on time that meet all specifications.

Required Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 8 or more years of industry experience
• Broad knowledge of digital systems and SoCs, especially in embedded environments
• Design skills and experience at the RTL-level (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Extensive experience in using IC simulation tools such as Synopsys VCS
• Extensive experience in using synthesis, LEC, and STA tools such as DC, Conformal, and PT
• A good understanding of testability and design-for-test (DFT), ATPG, and BIST.
• A team player

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as C/C++, Perl,TCL, etc. a plus
