Job Responsibilities

The Semiconductor Product and Test team is searching for a hands-on, team oriented, Product/Validation engineer with strong bench validation skill and experience with hi speed serial Display interfaces like DSI and MDDI. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the developing validation plans as well as completing bench level IC validation. Additionally you will contribute to device characterization, reliability testing and aid in ATE test program development. Prior experience SERDES systems, bench level IC testing and strong data analysis skills are highly desired. Responsibilities include:

·       Generation of validation plans, including detailed bench set-up’s and assessing equipment needs to accurately complete validation

·       Complete bench level validation of display driver functionality including data acquisition, analysis and reporting

·       Work closely with Design Engineering (both digital and Mixed Signal) to assure complete and accurate validation

·       Evaluate and troubleshoot bench tests for silicon validation, characterization and reliability testing.

·       Schedule tasks and goals to complete validation on time that meet all specifications.

·       Planning and execution of very high speed SERDES characterization.

·       Ensure SERDES interfaces meet electrical standards compliance testing at the IC level.

·       Analyze characterization results and create characterization reports.

Required Qualifications

·       BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

·       Five to Ten years experience in Hardware Validation.

·       Experience validating and characterizing SERDES interfaces. .

·       Proficiency using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and BERTs.

·       Understanding of jitter components, jitter sources, and their impact on link margin.

·       Programming experience with Perl, C, etc. for data post-processing and automation.

·       Experience in chip level failure analysis and RMA support would be helpful

·       Strong experience in Labview/Labwindows or something similar is required.

·       Experience using data analysis tools like MathLab/Jump/DataPower or similar is required.

·       Experience in validating Mixed Signal ASIC is a plus.

·       Good understanding of ASIC test methodology and ATE background a plus.

·       ASIC data sheet development experience is a plus.

·       Experience with high-speed communication technologies such as DSI and MDDI a plus

·       Excellent communication and documentation skills.
