MillerCoors Diversity Summary

Investing in our people and in the communities we do business is essential to creating a winning culture comprised of talented and diverse individuals who bring different experiences, ideas and lifestyles to enrich our organization. Growing and leveraging diversity is a key component of how we will create America’s best beer company. Below are a few examples of how we champion diversity and inclusion at MillerCoors and in our communities.

Employee Affinity Groups: In Milwaukee, Golden, Chicago and several of our brewery communities, employee affinity groups help create a culture of inclusiveness by providing opportunities for employees of diverse backgrounds to network, volunteer, learn new cultures and provide leadership experience.

Diversity and Inclusion Council: MillerCoors recently announced the formation of the Diversity and Inclusion Council. The Council will use the collective talents and diverse backgrounds of its employees to develop a comprehensive diversity strategy, framework and policies to guide the company’s actions and behaviors. Additionally, it will be responsible for enhancing company-wide diversity and inclusion education and training, and will support and strengthen our network of employee affinity groups.

HBCU:  MillerCoors, through Coors Light, has supported higher education and the mission of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) since 1986 through the sponsorship of the HBCU football classics. Additionally, since 2002, MillerCoors has provided $250,000 to scholarship funds at HBCUs.

Thurgood Marshall College Fund: As a founding corporate sponsor of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, MillerCoors has helped provide more than $100 million in scholarships over 22 years.

Lideres:  Since 2006, Líderes has highlighted the achievements of emerging Hispanics, and provided helpful online resources and workshops on leadership topics. Líderes has also showcased national and local leaders in the Hispanic community through advertising campaigns portraying the diverse demographics represented in the U.S. Hispanic community, and each year one Líder is awarded a $25,000 grant to develop his/her own leadership community program.

MUES:  The MillerCoors Urban Entrepreneurs Series (MUES) is a business plan competition that has provided more than $1 million in business grants to more than 100 minority businesses across the United States.
